With the assembly elections approaching, there are various reports of infighting in Congress with Kumari Selja camp accusing of step-motherly treatment. However, senior Congress leader P Chidambaram asserted that the Haryana Congress was not a divided house and would fight the October 5 state assembly elections unitedly.

Former Delhi chief minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal will kick off the party's campaign in poll-bound Haryana with a roadshow in the Jagadhri constituency on Friday. According to AAP national general secretary (organisation) Sandeep Pathak,

Rumours are rife about a rift in the Congress party, with the absence of Selja from Congress' campaigns for the Assembly polls. Selja was also missing during the event to launch the Congress manifesto by Mallikarjun Kharge.

In his maiden election rally after being released on bail, National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal said that AAP would play a key role in the Haryana assembly elections.

Though the BJP changed Manohar Lal Khattar and brought an OBC leader Nayab Singh Saini as the Chief Minister close to the Lok Sabha elections, this has not stemmed the tide of anti-incumbency against the State government.

AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday claimed that the next government in Haryana cannot be formed without the support of his party. Targeting the BJP, he claimed that the entire state wants "badlaav" (change).
